Planes are fun for everyone, especially hkeaa children. Do you want your family to rest in a beautiful place on your next holiday? Want to know what an experimental aircraft is? I recently discovered the world of adventure when my sister Carol Scott married passionate aviation enthusiast Thomas W. W. W. Woten. In this little guide, I share what I learned from an aviation insider about this exciting mode of transport and how to make airplanes and air shows the focus of vacations.

The place where you can check out the airshow and air show is the Oshkosh, Wisconsin Association, known as the Association of Experimental Aircraft (EAA). It is a large multi-branch facility, where most aviation organizations have flight bases. This unique organization was founded in Oshkosh in 1953, and my brother-in-law first heard about EAA in the late 1950s when he discovered The Experimenter magazine.

In 1981, Tom was invited to join the EAA Presidential Board after he became a longtime member, collector and creator of experimental aircraft, and after donating his Piper PT-1 to the EAA Museum. EAA has more than 160,000 members and about 1,000 branches worldwide. In fact, one of the chapters is located at Tom Flabob Airport, Riverside, California, and on the site of his own Thomas W. Waton Air Intelligence Foundation.

Although EAA is the largest international organization of aviation professionals and enthusiasts, it basically started out as a flyer club for aircraft modified or built from scratch. These types are required for the EXPERIMENTAL scoreboard, which should be displayed where it can be seen on the door or cabin. Thus, the association was called “experimental.” Although “improvised” aircraft still make up a significant part of the EAA, the organization covers all aspects of aviation and aviation. The organization is an excellent starting point for involving children in the worlds of science, technology, mathematics, aviation and aviation.

Educating and inspiring young people is an important function of EAA. In 2010, the U.S. National Aviation Modeling Organization, the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA), agreed to partner with EAA for two U.S.-based organizations to promote and model aviation on a large scale as a family vacation and educational activity. . In fact, the Young Eagles of EAA is a program that began in 1992 and was originally designed to land a million children on the plane until December 17, 2003, the Wright brothers’ centenary flight. Since then, the Young Eagles have made almost two million trips and done a lot to popularize aviation among children and young people. In addition, several nationally recognized presidents took part in the program, including its first conductor, actor Cliff Robertson. Subsequent presidents included actor Harrison Ford and U.S. Air Force General Chuck Geger, who was the first person to fly faster than the speed of sound. These are really inspiring models dedicated to young eagles!

The most talked about EAA event is AirVenture Oshkosh, commonly called the Oshkosh Airshow. This is the largest air show in the world, much more than any air show held by the air force or countries of the world! The annual July event, which lasts a week, attracts between 10,000 and 12,000 devices and a total visitor count of more than 500,000. The event is also attended by about 800 exhibitors, about 1000 forums, workshops and seminars, as well as about 700 journalists. This is due to a small event, the Sun ‘N Fun Air Show, which is held every April in Lakeland, Florida, and is supported by the presence of EAA offices, but is not an official EAA event.

During the year, EAA exhibits its aircraft collection at the AirVenture Museum. A collection of more than 200 aircraft will be permanently exhibited at the museum. The museum includes Pioneer Airport, a reconstruction of an old airfield that offers flights on vintage planes, as well as 40 other aircraft.
